Many men and women have an idea of what they would like their marriages to look like. As followers of Christ being in a Christ centered marriage has a different foundation and agenda than what you may have envisioned when you said, “I do”. Your expectations of your spouse may be unrealistic or based in experiences from your past or childhood that you may have believed would be lived in out your marriages. When these expectations are not met, we can become manipulative to get the spouse to meet those expectations. We can also find that past pain, wounds or traumas can begin to manifest themselves in our marriage relationships.

 

Whether newly married or have been married for decades we can find ourselves in places in our marriage were we need help to overcome these challenges to find a place of healing and restoration. Your marriage may be good right now, but it is not the Christ centered marriage you had hoped it would be. Through our Grace and Truth Marriage Enhancement community, our group or couple to couple coaching. we help husbands and wives rediscover the pathway to a restored marriage by learning ways to rebuild intimacy through relational care. Hurts and wounds can be healed, and good marriages can be made better by learning and applying relational care principles to develop happy and satisfying lifelong Christ centered marriages.
